Thanks to everyone who gave me such a warm welcome in Boston this past week …
–The crowd that turned out for my reading at the Harvard Book Store
–Meghna Chakrabarti, who asked me such smart questions when she interviewed me for WBUR
–The friendly and enlightened Googlers who came to hear me talk at their HQ in Cambridge (wow, what a beautiful place to work!)
–The students and faculty members at Brandeis who joined me for an honest and complex discussion about what it’s like to be a woman and/or a minority in science.
–Amy Caldwell, Caitlin Meyer, and Perpetua Charles, my amazing editor and publicists at Beacon Press, who fed me delicious meals and cheered me on.
I lived in Boston for ten years before I moved to Michigan, and this was the happiest of homecomings.
